INSTRUMENT LINKS - INDEX PAGE
- Ken Davies' Musical Instrument Links - about the editor

Created February 2001

This is a resource about instruments. The links I have collected here are among those I consider the best information resources related to particular instrument families. They include significant biographical sites, informational sites, link sites, organizational sites, and sites of manufactures, publishers and retailers specializing in certain instrument groups. I am sure that I miss some great sites along the way, so feel free to tell me about some that ought to be here. I reserve the right to, ah, refuse sites. Thanks. Enjoy.
  Why this site?
I compose, write and webmaster. I get weary of hunting search engines for everything. So it's handy to have things close at hand. And it seems a good idea to share them with others.

Composers and arrangers may want to visit my Arranger-Composers' Resource Page. It has links to copyright info, software makers, tutorials and more, especially for the professional composer or arranger.

For music resources and search engines of a wider nature, try my Music Web Hunter site  - big list of the world's search engines are right at your fingertips in one place. Many have keyword forms ready to go. Just type in your keywords and click "Hunt the Web" and you go right into their search engine or directory. Other pages have catagorized links to the best music information sources, including music directories, organizations, styles and genres li ke jazz and classical, music therapy, a long link list of music libraries, and more. This is a doorway to the best music link resources on the web -- without a lot extraneous unrelated stuff to wade through like you get with so many  search engines these days -- and edited by someone who knows something about music. Each music link takes you to a REAL RESOURCE with lots more links in that catagory. That way, you can cover a lot of ground ...er, cyber-ground... very quickly.
