City of God for trumpet & organ - by Ken Davies (2007). Duration 3:04 Contemporary, quiet, meditative. Intermediate recital piece or solo for worship service. Inspired by Revelation 21:2 (...the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God), the piece opens with a "looking up" of the solo instrument followed by a soft, gradual, floating musical descent. The piece was commissioned by a Presbyterian choir director (and trumpeter) requesting a "gentle sounding" work to play as an offertory solo and that could be playable by other solo instruments.

Antiphonal Music for two trumpets in C (can be played by 2 tpts in B-flat). By Ken Davies (2004). Duration c. 5:00. Three movements; fast-slow-fast. Utilizes spatial effect; players are situated at opposite ends of stage. 2nd movement uses cup mute for one player and straight mute for the other. Reviewed in International Trumpet Guild Journal June 2005 page 87.
